Mark is well known for his unique and quirky marketing techniques when selling homes but Mark is also a brilliant strategist when it comes to purchasing. Mark has a very personable approach and gets to know the sellers and the sellers realtor. This allowed us to get our bid in early and avoid a bidding war with other buyers. Mark is also very in tune with the neighbourhoods and was able to steer us clear of a few properties which were not as attractive purchases. He's not only professional and extremely hardworking (relevant to the job), but he also has a ton of skills like speaking Chinese fluently and hosting a wildly entertaining Youtube channel (fun bonus). We had very specific requirements and put him through an arduous qualification process against dozens of other realtors (this is a true story - I set up a google form with a whole bunch of questions, of which Mark did a very good job answering). Initially, we almost didn't want to get a realtor because we never really believed they did a whole lot - my partner and I did a ton of our own research online and got lots of info already - but Mark truly is a value add in many ways that we couldn't have anticipated. Due to our circumstances, we had to sell our property from abroad and he couldn't have made it easier for us. He is very thoughtful and gave us great recommendations to showcase the best of our property. He is also quite realistic about what your property can sell for and is able to explain why. I also appreciate that he provides weekly (sometimes more frequent) updates to show the work (he does a video for you!) that he's been doing and proactively communicates what he'll be doing in the following days to help increase the chances of getting our property noticed. In 2018, he was able to close a sale within a week of listing, in a declining market, for almost B.C. Assessment value...when most homes were going for $200K under Assessment. In 2019, happy with his previous performance on our behalf, we enlisted him to sell a corner lot home, again very close to B.C. Assessment, within a week of MLS listing and prior to having an Open House. We got the price we wanted in both cases. Mark was a great advocate for our properties and secured a positive outcome each time. I would strongly recommend Mark to anyone looking for a reputable, honest, focused real estate agent.

Mark is very knowledgeable, approachable and goes above and beyond for his clients! We had a lot of questions and concerns since we had no background knowledge regarding the market but Mark was able to guide us along the way. He was very organized in setting up the appointments/open houses that the transition from different houses were smooth and there was no wasted time and we were able to look at many places at once.
